Tea Cups & Saucers

The following tea cups and saucers were donated to the museum by Elizabeth Osborne. These were originally her mother’s dishes, Olive (Livingstone) Osborne, who grew up on the Baltic Road in Clyde River. The variety within this collection will be familiar to Islanders as it represents, a birthday, wedding anniversary, Scottish tartan, Canadian/Island themes, Christmas, country scenes and favourite flowers. Tea cups and saucers were often given as gifts between the 1940s and 1980s. The tea always tasted better in china cups.
